1 cup milk
For Agave Butter:
4 tbsp melted butter
1/4 cup agave
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Preparation
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Always use COLD BUTTER. I mean Really cold. Try not to let the butter soften before the biscuits go in the oven. PRO TIP: Cut the butter into small pieces and store in the fridge until you are ready.
Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl.Â
Using a pastry cutter, cut cold butter into flour mixture. look for small pieces of butter throughout the dough.Â
In a small bowl mix together the milk and egg. Add to flour mixture and mix just until the ingredients are combined. The dough will be sticky.
On a generously floured surface. Knead the dough about 10-15 times. If the dough is really sticky sprinkle on some flour to help knead.
Spread the dough out to 3/4 - 1 inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter, knife or glass.
Place the biscuits on a lightly greased baking sheet or 9x13 casserole dish and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Remove from oven and immediatey top with Agave Butter! Best served hot!
Enjoy!
